It is intended to help you to find a financial advice provider that meets your needs. Licensing Information One Financial Service Limited (FSP494849) ("One Finance Service", "we", "us" and "our") is a Financial Advice Provider. We hold a full licence issued by the Financial Markets Authority to provide financial advice. You can find us on the Financial Service Providers Register (https://fsp-register.companiesoffice.govt.nz/). Our Advice Service (Nature and Scope) One Financial Service provides advice to our clients about their mortgages, risk insurance and general insurance. The financial advice our financial advisers provide is in relation to the following types of insurance and loan products. Products
Providers The main providers whose products we provide financial advice on include;
Relevant Fees We do not charge fees, expenses or any other amount for the financial advice we provide. You will not be invoiced or asked to pay any fees to us at any time. Conflicts of Interest and Incentives One Financial Service is paid commission by the relevant insurers and lenders when an insurance policy or a loan application is finalised and complete. For loan products: One Financial Service receive commissions of between 0.2% and 0.85% of the value of the mortgage from bank if you take out a mortgage with them following my advice. - the amount of the commission depends on which bank and what type of mortgage you choose. For insurance products: One Financial Service receive commissions from the relevant insurance companies if you take out insurance following my advice. The commissions can be around between 25% and 220%(when bonus combined) of the first year's premiums on Personal Risk insurance policy (e.g. life insurance) and around between 3% and 8% of the annual premium on the Fire and General insurance policy (e.g. home insurance) - the commission rate will depend on which insurance company and which insurance policy you choose. To ensure that our financial advisers prioritise our clients' interests above their own, we follow an advice process that ensures our recommendations are made on the basis of each client's goals and circumstances. We maintain a close ongoing relationship with clients, regularly reviewing progress and working with them over time to help meet their goals. Our financial advisers complete regular training about how to manage conflicts of interest. Complaints Handling and Dispute Resolution If you have a problem, concern, or complaint about any part of our financial advice service, please tell us so that we can try to resolve the problem as soon as possible. When we receive a complaint, we will assess it by following our internal complaints process: - We will consider your complaint and let you know how we intend to resolve it. Where possible, we try to resolve your complaint immediately. If we cannot agree on how to resolve the issue or you aren't satisfied with the way we propose to do so, you may refer your complaint to Financial Services Complaints Ltd (FSCL) - A Financial Ombudsman Service. FSCL is our independent external ombudsman and dispute resolution service that has been approved by the Minister of Consumer Affairs under the Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008. FSCL's service is free of charge to you.
